Me & My Work

Good-luck charms, mementos, and keepsakes

My work is inspired by the mystic talismans, devotional charms, and symbolic jewels of the medieval Jewish and Victorian-era American jewelry traditions. Joyous, humorous, or mournful—and often given or inherited—these charms say, "I can rely on my strength, and on my bond with the ones I love." These pieces gain meaning and personality with each wear; they make beautiful and powerful gifts.

I make each piece using an array of traditional techniques. To see my work in person, please visit the Made You Look jeweler's collective in Toronto, and if I'm around, I'm happy to show you my bench!

I hope you find your "power piece," your good-luck charm, your treasure here. If you're feeling inspired to discuss custom work, please contact me to share your idea for something special.

What I bring to my work

I'm a metalsmith and studio artist living in Toronto with my brilliant husband, our beautiful/odd cat, and shelves full of books and houseplants. I earned an MFA in Metalsmithing from Cranbrook Academy of Art in 2009. I love to teach! I work to support social justice; I state that Black Lives Matter, that we need to protect and honor Trans and non-binary lives, and I support reparations for BIPOC.
